Dear Reb Shloime,

Dear Reb Shloime,

We’re pained by the campaign to tarnish your sterling reputation and the liberty some have taken to discredit and harass you and those closest and dearest to you.

The libelous refrain propagated to negatively portray your boundless benevolence towards Gerrer Chassidus and your selfless devotion as a shliach ne’eman for the Gerrer Rebbe Shlit”a is disheartening.

The obvious must be stated: In spite of the awful condemnable behavior of arguably as much as two-hundred young adults; was it not for the scheming of agenda-driven individuals who mobilized to inflame and shame for self-serving reasons, you would’ve never been the target of a campaign directed at you.

How could anyone associate you with anything but positive and peaceful?

Reb Shloime, you are – and always were – a driving force for good. And only good. Your many contributions to Klal Yisroel and to every kehilla are so varied, diverse and encompassing and go way beyond philanthropy. Every one of your altruistic and impactful endeavors on behalf of the klal, bear your signature distinguishing feature of grace, kindness and the inspiring selfless mission of shlichus, void of anything but goodness and r’difas sholom.

Your maasim tovim shouldn't be maligned for the sake of anyone determined to cancel you.

We’re convinced the splendor of your kesser shem tov is enduring. It was clearly bestowed on you min-haShomayim and will never be diminished.

Which is why we’re so glad you’re standing resolute. You wouldn't be Shlomo Werdiger otherwise.

We’re grateful for everything you’ve done for Torah, for Ger, for the Klal, for Agudas Yisroel, for every kehilla and for the multitudes of every age who benefitted from your largesse. We’re grateful for the inspiration your exemplary and legendary leadership continues to provide us.

We’re therefore here to thank you and stand by you in this turbulent time.

More importantly, we’re here to inform you:

Klal Yisroel needs you now more than ever.

Chazak v’ametz!
